Childhood and Adolescence

“What does the baby see when he or she looks at the mother’s face?
I am suggesting that, ordinarily, what the baby sees is himself or herself.”
Winnicott D.W., 1971
When working with children and adolescents I take into account that the changes experienced during this period of life are closely related to the psychological development that is undergoing in a relational environment.
An Early Identification and Brief Intervention program aiming at supporting children and adolescents during their development is a key aspect for preventing later issues or diagnosis and strengthening the existing resources.
A comprehensive approach requires the involvement of parents and/or caregivers, either as part of the understanding process or as target of the intervention themselves.
I offer parenting assessment and support, parent-child psychotherapy, therapy for children and adolescents.
